MAN UTD, LIVERPOOL EYEING VLAHOVIC

Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping watch on striker Dusan Vlahovic’s progress for Fiorentina and Serbia, according to a report.

The 21-year-old, who stands at 6ft 3in, is enjoying his best season to date for his club and is making waves on the international stage.

He has scored 12 goals and assisted two others in a Fiorentina team which has largely struggled for form this term.

In addition, he has netted two goals in five games for his country, including in Wednesday’s 3-2 win over the Republic of Ireland.

Previous reports have linked Tottenham with a raid for Vlahovic. According to Corrierre dello Sport (via Sport Witness), however, United and Liverpool are also keen on the forward.

The report claims that ‘sirens from top European clubs have already started to ring strongly’ for his services. Real Madrid also reportedly hold an interest.

Manchester United can't spend big this summer

Manchester United can't spend big this summer

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits the club is unlikely to spend big in the upcoming summer transfer window due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, there is no mention of any firm approach from any of the trio yet.

Vlahovic moved to Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in his home country in the summer of 2018.

Signed when he was still a teenager, he spent a good deal of his debut season in the Serie A club’s reserve ranks. However, he hit the ground running immediately, with 11 goals in 13 games.

While he did play 10 Serie A games in 2018/19, he stepped up significantly last season, appearing 30 times in the Italian top flight.

This term, meanwhile, he has only missed one league outing to date.
