Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd prepare ‘record-breaking offer’ for Frankfurt striker with No 9 shirt already reserved; double Leeds exit with Inter Milan, Aston Villa to pounce

Manchester United are preparing a huge offer for a French striker with Frankfurt ready to sell, Leeds could lose a rejuvenated star to Inter Milan and a midfielder to Aston Villa, while Wednesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Arsenal links to a Real Madrid have been dashed.

TEN HAG GREEN LIGHT TO SIGN KOLO MUANI FOR MAN UTD

Erik ten Hag is preparing a mega offer to lure Randal Kolo Muani to Manchester United after deciding he is the striker he wants to sign this summer.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new centre forward this summer with a flurry of names on their wishlist. Indeed, Harry Kane, Goncalo Ramos, Dusan Vlahovic and Victor Osimhen are the four names most commonly linked.

However, deals for the quartet remain difficult, with negotiations over both Kane and Osimhen seen as hugely problematic.

As an alternative, Ten Hag is now turning seriously to Kolo Muani, if reports in Germany are accurate.

Per Bild, Manchester United are preparing a mega offer for the 24-year-old forward. He only moved to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer in a move from Nantes.

However, he has very quickly adapted to his new surroundings and is enjoying a brilliant season. Indeed, as it stands, he has 16 goals and 14 assists from 34 matches in all competitions so far.

Per the reports, Frankurt are willing to sell if United make a mammoth proposal. And they report an offer of £105.2m (€120m) will convince them to sell with the Bundeslia side ready to ‘let the striker go’.

It’s claimed Kolo Muani will also inherit the No 9 shirt at Man Utd currently worn by Anthony Martial, with the French forward certain to depart.

United want De Jong to follow Muani to Old Trafford

Manchester United, meanwhile, are also ready to rekindle their interest in Frenkie de Jong.

The Barcelona midfielder was the subject of a long-drawn out transfer saga last summer. And with the Red Devils chasing him for a number of weeks, he ultimately custard-pied them by digging his heels in and staying put.

Now United are ready to rekindle their plan to lure him from Barcelona. And unlike last summer, the transfer now seemingly has a better chance of progressing.

That’s with De Jong now able to see the clear progress United are making under his former Ajax manager. Furthermore, with the Champions League likely to be on offer, the move now carries much more appeal.

In addition, with Barcelona’s finances still causing issues, the LaLiga giants are reportedly naming their price.

And suitors are being informed a deal for the Dutch midfielder will set them back an initial £61.4m (€70m). That fee is well within United’s reach and there’s now growing optimism a move can go through.

Chelsea are also keen, but the presence of Ten Hag, as well as UCL football, gives them a clear advantage.
