Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd prepare lucrative offer for €40m midfielder as full list of suitors is revealed; Liverpool in shock Swiss Super League link

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Rade Krunic

Manchester United are one of three Premier League clubs to feature in the full list of suitors for an available Serie A superstar, while Liverpool have turned to the Swiss Super League to find their latest midfield target – all in Friday’s European transfer gossip.

MILINKOVIC-SAVIC ATTRACTS MAN UTD, ARSENAL AND NEWCASTLE

Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle are among the interested clubs for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

That’s according to Il Corriere Dello Sport, which has reiterated that this year could be the one in which the Serbia international bids farewell to his current club after eight seasons.

Since his contract is due to expire in 2024, Lazio might have to sell Milinkovic-Savic this summer. Their asking price will be €40m (£34.7m), with little room for negotiating.

According to the Rome-based newspaper, Milinkovic-Savic still has three strong suitors in the Premier League. Man Utd have been linked with him for what feels like an eternity.

The Red Devils seemingly remain in contention to sign him, as do an Arsenal side that began looking at the Spanish-born star last year. Newcastle, one win away from joining the Gunners in next season’s Champions League, are also in the mix.

However, Corriere Dello Sport‘s complete list of Milinkovic-Savic also contains some other clubs from Europe. At the top of the list are Ligue 1 powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain.

Alternatively, he could remain in Serie A by switching to Juventus – who can allow Lazio to keep Luca Pellegrini after his loan spell there as a counterweight – or even AC Milan if they can qualify for the Champions League.

But by moving to the Premier League, the 28-year-old could sign a lengthy and financially rewarding contract.

Thus, the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle will be vying to blow away Milinkovic-Savic’s other suitors. It is not yet clear which of them might be his most likely destination.

Man Utd are in the market for another midfielder while debating the future of Marcel Sabitzer after his loan spell from Bayern Munich.

Arsenal are ready to sell Granit Xhaka this summer, while Newcastle will need to equip themselves with more established players ahead of their long-awaited return to European football.
