Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd throw everything at astonishing triple deal with Inter Milan star up first; Arsenal lead chase for crack Brazilian striker
Manchester United are gearing up for a massive summer spending spree with deals for three major signings given the green light, Arsenal are chasing an electric Brazilian attacker, while Newcastle want players from Barcelona and Juventus – all in Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk.
THREE TOP MAN UTD TARGETS NAMED WITH HUGE SUMMER PLANNED
Erik ten Hag reportedly has permission to embark on Manchester United’s biggest-ever spending spree this summer.
The Red Devils are upwardly mobile under the Dutchman and look to underline their place back among the elite. And Ten Hag has ambitious plans to launch another massive spending spree this summer to transform the club into serious Champions League contenders.
With that in mind, reports in Spain claim Ten Hag has been told money will be no object to sign three of four top targets.
First up, Ten Hag is setting his sights on a new striker and it’s claimed United will go all out to land Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian is likely to cost around £120m, however. And while he has held talks with PSG, the player himself only has eyes for the Premier League.
The United manager is also keen to recruit a new midfielder. His No 1 choice is Jude Bellingham, though he accepts signing him will prove difficult.
Indeed, Liverpool are also on his trail and remain favourites.
As an alternative, it’s claimed Manchester United are deep in internal talks over a deal to sign Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister as an alternative.
That claim is backed up by journalist Ben Jacobs, who claims they are strongly considering an approach.
Denzel Dumfries set to be first of three huge signings at Man Utd
First up, though, United are reportedly edging closer to a deal for Denzel Dumfries.
The Dutch right-back will be allowed to move on this summer with Inter open to his sale.
They are reportedly looking for as much as £44.4m (€50m) for his signature this summer.
And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are preparing for his move by casting their eye over two replacements.
And United right-back Diogo Dalot is reportedly their No 1 target.
His deal at Old Trafford is currently due to expire in summer 2024. Talks over an extension are underway, though it remains unclear if an agreement will be reached.
Now Gazzetta claims Inter will ask United to include Dalot in a potential swap deal for Dumfries.
Should they reject that offer, or tie Dalot down to a new deal, Inter do have a firm Plan B in mind.
And the pink paper claims they are hot on the heels of Club Brugge’s Tajon Buchanan.
Rated at just £13.4m (€15m), Inter feel the sale of Dumfries and signing of the Canadian would be smart business.
