Manchester United’s focus has turned swiftly to a €50million midfielder raid, while Arsenal are in a bidding war for a 112-goal striker – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.

MAN UTD’S VAN DE BEEK PATH CLEARED

Real Madrid have opened up Manchester United‘s path to sign Donny van de Beek after backing out of the race for the Ajax midfielder, according to a report.

Reports have linked United with a move for the 23-year-old for several months.

Indeed, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag recently revealed that there is an agreement in place to see Van de Beek leave; meanwhile, the club’s chief executive, Edwin van der Sar, has confirmed United’s interest.

Real Madrid have also been heavily credited with making a move, but De Telegraaf now claims there interest has ended.

The Dutch source says Madrid have pulled the plug on their move. What’s more, they are looking for other targets in a bid to bolster their midfield ahead of next season.

Van de Beek has scored 41 goals and assisted 34 others in 175 appearances for Ajax.
