Manchester United will run the rule over a Milan star on Thursday amid talk of a huge summer swoop, Everton have made their move for a Juventus star, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims a big-name Chelsea star will be sold off by Thomas Tuchel.
DONNARUMMA TOLD MAN UTD WILL MEET WAGE DEMANDS
Manchester United are in the driving seat to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan this summer, claims a report.
The keeper has just three months remaining on his existing deal at the San Siro. Talks over an extension have yet to see an agreement reached – and it seems the two parties remain some distance apart.
As per Il Corriere dello Sport, Donnarumma is seeking €10m a year to sign a new deal. However, Milan’s proposal is 40% lower at €6m (£115,000 per week) a season.
But with time ticking away, it’s claimed Milan will lose their star man on a free transfer this summer. Chelsea have been tipped as suitors.
However, the Italian paper claims United have already told the keeper’s agent Mino Raiola they’ll meet his £163,000-a-week wage demands.
It’s claimed United see Donnarumma as David De Gea’s long-term replacement. That’s despite Dean Henderson recently impressing during the Spaniard’s absence owing to paternity leave.
The links to Donnarumma for United have an added twist with the two giants due to clash in the Europa League this week. The paper claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will use the clash to run the rule over Donnarumma.
And if the 22-year-old impresses, it’s claimed a lucrative deal to move to United could be agreed soon after.
