Manchester United will seal the signing of Kim Min-jae on July 1  – with work now beginning on a £72m-rated midfielder, Tottenham are to move for an African star with bidding to begin at €20m, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Arsenal are going big in the chase for a big-name winger.

KIM MIN-JAE DEAL TO MAN UTD COMPLETELY AGREED

Manchester United have fully completed and will announce the signing of Kim Min-jae on July 1, according to strong new reports in Italy.

The Red Devils are putting the wheels in motion for what they hope will be another busy and successful summer window.

Having won the Carabao Cup and qualified for the Champions League again with a top-four finish, United will hope bigger and better is to come in 2023/24.

And to kick things off, reports via Il Matino claims a deal for Napoli defender Kim is now ‘sure’.

United have made a beeline for the South Korean, who has a €60m (£51.5m) exit clause in his deal. And following talks between the player’s representative and the Red Devils, the 26-year-old has reportedly agreed a deal worth £150,000 a week over four years.

And while recent reports have suggested fresh competition could come in for the star from the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle and PSG, it is not too late to derail the player’s move to Manchester United.

As a result, Il Matino claims: ‘From July 1 he will be at Manchester United who will pay the €60m clause.’

The Serie A champions could yet look to reduce United’s outlay by bringing in one of their unwanted stars in return. And while not naming exactly who, reports suggest both Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho are of interest to Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Man Utd to follow up Kim signing by opening Mason Mount talks

With the Kim deal now reportedly in the bag and due for completion on July 1, Erik ten Hag is now switching focus to signing No 2 – Mason Mount.

The Chelsea midfielder has been cleared to leave this summer after failing to agree a new deal. And with a move to Old Trafford now his favoured destination, the Red Devils plan a formal approach in the coming weeks.

That’s according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who believes the move will eventually go through.

However, there remains some differences in valuations between the two clubs.

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly believes Mount should fetch some €80m (£72m). However, United chiefs reckon the price is unrealistic given the England man has just a year left on his deal.

To that end, their opening offer is likely to be around the £50m mark.

United do have a top-end price they are willing to pay, too. And they could ultimately walk away from the deal if Boehly does not lower his demands.

However, Chelsea will not want to keep an unsettled player with time ticking away on his deal. As such, there is a belief at Old Trafford that the Blues will ultimately bow to their valuation.
