Euro Paper Talk: Ronaldo would love game-changing Man Utd signing worth up to €130m

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates scoring against Newcastle. September 11 2021.

Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo are looking at a potential signing worth as much as €130million, while Arsenal want two rising stars – both in all the latest Euro Paper Talk.

MAN UTD, RONALDO HAVE EYES ON CHIESA

Manchester United have interest in Juventus winger Federico Chiesa and Cristiano Ronaldo is a big fan of the Italian, a report claims.

United bolstered their attack by securing Ronaldo’s return this summer. They also brought in Jadon Sancho who, at 21, could offer the Red Devils over 10 years of stellar service if he sticks around.

However, Ronaldo – despite enjoying an instant goalscoring run on his Old Trafford comeback – is not a long-term option. At 36, he is reaching the final stages of his career.

As such, another long-term signing up front has been mooted for some time, with Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland among the reported targets.

Chiesa – who reportedly rejected a move to Liverpool before he signed for Juventus – is also on United’s radar. The Italy international played with Ronaldo last season.

Speaking to Calciomercato, agent and intermediary Ivan Reggiani revealed that United are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, who could leave for up to €130million (£110million).

Manchester United join the race for Dusan Vlahovic

Manchester United join the race for Dusan Vlahovic

Manchester United have reportedly joined Spurs and Juventus in the race for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic, with more updates on Paul Pogba and Raphinha.

“I think there are very serious and important foreign pressures on him. Appreciated across the Channel [in England], he is heavily supported by Cristiano Ronaldo,” the agent said.

“I think Federico can leave Juventus very soon. It can easily exceed one hundred million. There are not only United: there are two to three clubs that could reach €120-130m.”

Chiesa, who can play on either wing, has scored 16 goals in 50 Juventus games. He is also becoming increasingly decisive for Italy and he played a starring role at Euro 2020.
