Euro Paper Talk: Ten Hag narrows down Man Utd striker search to just two but cheapest is £105m; Leeds to rival Tottenham for Serie A forward

Erik ten Hag looks to have narrowed his search for a new striker at Manchester United down to just two, although both are valued at over £100m, while Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Leeds have joined Tottenham in the hunt to sign a wantaway Roma forward.
TEN HAG NOW FOCUSING ON TWO STRIKER TARGETS
Manchester United appear to have narrowed down their striker targets to two, as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his forward line.
The Red Devils recently snapped up Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley, but he is not considered a permanent option beyond this season.
To that end, Ten Hag wants to add a world-class No.9 who can compliment a rejuvenated Marcus Rashford going forward.
The likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham have all been linked with an Old Trafford move.
However, reports on Thursday claim that Ten Hag has now narrowed his search to Benfica hitman Goncalo Ramos and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, although neither deal is likely to happen until the summer.
Ramos has scored 17 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions this season and also bagged a hat-trick for Portugal at the World Cup against Switzerland.
However, he won’t come cheap, with his contract running out in 2025 and his release clause set at £105m release clause.
For their part, Benfica are also looking to keep the 21-year-old by offering him a new deal. However, if an offer did match that hefty clause, they would then be forced into s sale.
United also have one eye on Naples
United, however, are not just considering Ramos and remain keen on the prolific Osimhen.
The Nigeria international is currently top of the scoring charts in Italy this season, with 12 to his name.
The Serie A table-toppers are also trying to tie him down to a new contract, with his current one ending in two years. But if United’s interest turns concrete in the summer, the Naples-based outfit are expected to demand £130m for the powerful attacker.
United are also not expected to have it all their own way in their chase for either player. Premier League rivals are also expected to emerge over the coming months for two of the hottest strikers in European football.
