Tottenham step up swap deal talks involving a top Serie A star, while an Arsenal star reveals he has 10 suitors vying for his services – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.
SPURS EYE NDOMBELE, SKRINIAR SWAP?
Tottenham’s talks with Inter Milan about a swap deal to sign defender Milan Skriniar are gathering pace, according to a report.
Reports have linked Spurs with a move for the Slovakia international to bolster their defence. Jan Vertonghen’s contract expired last month and he is close to sealing a move to Benfica.
The latest report claims Conte does not feel the 25-year-old is “fundamental” and, as a result, talks to sell him are ongoing.
What’s more, Inter are allegedly in negotiations with Spurs, with Skriniar a “popular” defender for boss Jose Mourinho.
As part of the deal, however, Conte would like to sign one of his top targets – Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele. The midfielder struggled with fitness issues in his debut season and could be let go.
As such, talks are reportedly advancing between the two sides and Spurs have readied a contract offer to Skriniar, which they will present to the centre-back next week.
The offer will see Skriniar earn much more than the €4million (£3.6million) he currently pockets a year at Inter.
