Tom Davies: New deal

Everton midfielder Tom Davies has agreed a new long-term deal with the club, sources have told www.teamtalk.com.

Davies, who has come through the ranks at Goodison Park, broke into the first-team at the back end of last season and he made an instant impression.

The 18-year-old was handed his Premier League debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Southampton in April before making his first start on the final day of last season with a man-of-the-match performance in the 3-0 win over Norwich.

Davies has featured in all of Everton’s pre-season friendlies to date and is now regarded as an established member of the first-team squad.

The all-action midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to come through Everton’s youth ranks and the club are keen to reward him for his progress with a new deal.
