Real Madrid have identified Everton’s Moise Kean as a potential striker target for the future, according to a report.

Kean has struggled to settle in at Goodison Park since making a high-profile move from Juventus last summer, but has been shown faith by Carlo Ancelotti and finally scored his first Everton goal in January.

“It was good for him, for his confidence, for a striker to score goal it was important,” Ancelotti said in the wake of Kean’s first Toffees goal against Newcastle.

“He played really well, worked hard, pressed forwards, what I asked, he did. It was important for the team.

“This goal can give him more confidence in what he is doing, he is doing well.

“He has to improve, he is young and has to improve technically and tactically but he is in the right way.”

The Italy international may not have hit the ground running in the Premier League, but remains hot property on the continent, with Real Madrid now said to be interested.

According to Defensa Central, Kean is one of several names on a shortlist for the Spanish giants as they look for a long-term successor to Karim Benzema.

The French forward recently overtook Cristiano Ronaldo to become Real Madrid’s all-time record assist provider, but at 32 years old, is getting to an age where his club need to think about a long-term replacement.

That man could be Moise Kean, according to Defensa Central, with the 19-year-old retaining huge potential.

Also on the shortlist for Madrid are Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Braut Haaland and Inter Milan hitman Lautaro Martinez – both of whom have been linked with Manchester United – as well as another Italian who did not prove to be a success in the Premier League, former Wolves forward Patrick Cutrone.
