Everton striker Moise Kean speaks out on rumours of early January exit

Moise Kean TEAMtalk

Everton forward Moise Kean has lifted the lid on a possible premature end to his career on Merseyside, and spoken about how he aims to put critics of his performances in their place.

Kean arrived at Goodison Park to much fanfare in the summer, but it’s fair to say Toffees fans have seen very little return on their €27.5 million outlay thus far.

The 19-year-old is yet to break his duck in England, a streak which has extended across 11 games in all competitions.

Kean’s father recently went on record as saying his son’s move to England was a mistake, leading to speculation the Italy international could make a swift return back to Serie A.

Now, speaking to Italian publication RaiSport. It (via Calciomercato.com), Kean divulged his thoughts on a potential return to Italy.

“Going back to Italy in January? I don’t know, I just think about playing and giving my best on the field,” said Kean.

Kean’s most recent action came in the Italian under-21 side, where current head coach Paolo Nicolato described Kean as “perfect” in training.

A brace versus Armenia on Tuesday duly returned answered the faith shown in the youngster by Nicolato.

Speaking about his international boss, Kean said: Nicolato? I’m happy with his compliments. he’s a coach who works a lot. We are a great team, but we must continue to work to overcome a good group with high quality teams.”

With Everton struggling in front of goal in the current campaign, a fit and firing Moise Kean would go some way to answering the criticism he has received in the media.

As with his performance in the international arena midweek, Kean believes his on-field performances are the best way to silence the critics.

“The criticisms? I answered on the field. There are no other methods. We have proven to be superior, playing excellent football,” Kean stressed.

Meanwhile, a summer Everton signing has labelled Liverpool “a bit of a sad town.”
