Ravel Morrison: Back in England

Ravel Morrison has joined QPR on loan for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old has failed to hit the heights his talent promised, with the Manchester United academy graduate heading to Lazio in 2015 after a largely frustrating time at West Ham.

Morrison’s time in Italy has not gone to plan either and, having spent time training with Wigan earlier this month, recently linked up with Ian Holloway’s side.

The former England Under-21 international has done enough to impress the west Londoners and joins from his Italian employers with a view to a permanent move.

Morrison, who helped QPR achieve promotion from the Championship via the play-offs in 2014 while on loan from West Ham, told the club’s website: “I am really pleased to be back here.

“It’s a great opportunity for me to come back and hopefully find the form I showed the first time around.”

Holloway added: “QPR fans know me and what I’m all about and they know I love giving a chance to players who I believe in, and that’s the case with Ravel.

“Sometimes it takes a few setbacks for players to flourish. It’s all about hard work for him now.”

QPR earlier completed the signing of Matt Smith from near neighbours Fulham on deadline day.
