Manchester United have joined the growing list of potential suitors for on-loan Parma midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, according to a report.
The 19-year-old, who is owned by Atalanta, has hit two goals and five assists in 12 games so far this season and that had Wolves and Southampton scouts checking on his progress.
Now, according to Corriere Della Sera (via Sport Witness) United are watching the attacking midfielder after checking on the on-loan Chris Smalling.
The Italian paper says a scout was in attendance for Roma’s 2-0 defeat to Parma on Sunday and Kulusevski caught the eye.
Arsenal have already been credited with an interest in the Sweden international with TuttoMercatoWeb recently claiming the Gunners had been tracking the player “for a few months”.
The Italian paper suggests there could be a bidding war between the two Premier League clubs with a move for the player likely in January, or if not next summer.
Atalanta are keen to cash in on the rising star with a previous price tag of €25m being mentioned and the Serie A side keen to use that cash to finance their plans for next season.
