Liverpool have been dealt a huge transfer boost as one of their reported targets has opened up to a possible move.

Christopher Nkunku has issued a warning to his current club Paris Saint-Germain insisting that he will not accept being a rotation player.

The French U21 international started just five Ligue 1 games this season, and has been linked with a move to both Liverpool and Fiorentina.

There’s no word on the fee PSG would seek for the young attacker, but reports in France have indicated a €20m fee could tempt them into doing business for a player a long way down their pecking order.

Reports from French outlet L’Equipe claim that the Reds were watching Nkunku back in 2015, and he has admitted that his future depends on new PSG coach Thomas Tuchel.

“I’d liked for things to have gone better, for me to play more. When I had plating time, I tried to make the most of it,” he told L’Equipe.

“We’ll see what happens after the holidays, at the beginning of July. What’s clear in my head, is that I’m not ready to face a season in which I don’t play, or do so very little.

“If the Coach wants to use me more in the rotation, I’ll have to think about it. I need to establish myself in a particular role and work on it so I improve.”
