EXCLUSIVE: Hearts, Hibs ask Preston about deal for striker

Hearts and Hibernian have both enquired about signing Preston striker Connor Simpson, TEAMtalk can reveal.

The 19-year-old has found his chances at Deepdale limited, and spent last season on loan at Carlisle.

Now a number of League One and Two clubs have asked about Simpson ahead of the transfer window, but we can reveal he could be heading north of the border.

We understand both Edinburgh clubs have looked at Simpson and are keen on sealing a deal with Preston.
