Paris Saint-Germain and Neymar may seemingly be on a collision course over the star’s future this summer, with Manchester United among the clubs told about his potential availability, TEAMtalk has learned.

The Brazilian star remains the world’s most costly player, having moved to PSG from Barcelona for an eye-watering €222m in summer 2017. Since switching to the French capital, Neymar has won four Ligue 1 titles and eight domestic cups. Indeed, he also has an impressive 118 goals in 173 games for PSG.

However, speculation of late has suggested a parting of ways could be on the cards.

To that end, Chelsea have been touted as likely bidders with money seemingly no object to co-owner Todd Boehly. To that end, Le Parisien suggested Boehly had met with PSG counterpart Nasser Al-Khelaifi to discuss a potential move.

However, that speculation has been quickly denied with Ben Jacobs insisting such talks have not taken place.

Despite that, certain elements of the press are adamant that PSG could be looking to cash in on Neymar this summer.

Now 31, there are suggestions that their last chance to get big money for Neymar could be this summer. In addition, reports on Tuesday suggest PSG are ready to rival Manchester United for Victor Osimhen this summer.

To that end, one of their famous attacking triumverate – and most likely Neymar – will possibly have to make way.

Now transfer expert Graeme Bailey has told TEAMtalk that PSG are actively looking to cash in.

And revealing Manchester United are among the sides to made aware of his availability, Bailey says Paris Saint-Germain see the Premier League as the easiest place to move him on to.

Man Utd among five made aware of Neymar availability

“Neymar is on course to leave Paris Saint Germain this summer. And he could very well be turning up in the Premier League,” Bailey told TEAMtalk.

“Whilst officially PSG are not saying much, and he is contracted to them until 2025, sources are confirming that they are ready to sanction his exit.

“And it is true that Neymar’s possible availability has been spread around Europe. All of the Premier League’s top clubs are being informed. That includes Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle. They have all been informed of his possible availability.

“One of the main reasons for Neymar’s position being put forward by intermediaries was their belief that they needed to confirm that a move to England was very much something he is keen to do.

“Premier League clubs have always held an interest in Neymar, but he has never shown a huge appetite to play in England, and I am told that is a concern, and they [Premier League clubs] will not be used in any way to generate interest.

However, I understand the interest in Neymar and the Premier League is believed to be genuine this time – and that comes from both sides.”

Despite that, conflicting reports in France suggest Neymar is – in public at least – making clear he wants to honour his deal at PSG. Contracted to 2025, the Ligue 1 giants have an option to extend that by one more year.

And with Chelsea touted as the most likely club to sign him, L’Equipe claims Neymar is in no mood to entertain the notion of rocking the boat or pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge.
