EXCLUSIVE: Stoke set to take chance on non-league prospect

Stoke City are lining up a deal for non-league ace Adam Lovatt, TEAMtalk can reveal.

Lovatt, 20, is widely regarded as one of the best players in non-league football, having already trained with likes of Leicester and Leeds in the last 12 months.

The midfielder almost joined Leeds in the summer but the deal was not finalised, while Brighton also had the player on trial in 2018 before opting against a move.

However, it seems the 20-year-old Hastings United midfielder is poised to join Stoke, with our sources indicating the player spent time training with the Potters this week ahead of sealing a move to the Bet365 Stadium.

And having impressed their coaches enough, Lovatt will now move to the Potteries and hope to make an impact in the Championship with his move from the Isthmian League club seeing him jump five levels up the Football League ladder.
