Trusted journalist urges fans to ‘keep an eye on Chelsea’ in attacker pursuit, as Arsenal interested confirmed but Man Utd ruled out

TEAMtalk transfer insider Ben Jacobs has provided an update on the situation of Dusan Vlahovic amid reported interest from Premier League sides Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Vlahovic was a prime transfer target for Arsenal in January last year, only to join Juventus instead. As per Sky Sports, the Turin outfit paid Fiorentina £66.6million for the striker.
Vlahovic has not been able to replicate his stunning Fiorentina form in a Juventus shirt, although he has still done well. His record for the Bianconeri stands at 19 goals from 41 matches so far.
One reason Vlahovic is yet to hit the heights expected of him at Juve is injury problems. He has missed 10 matches already this season.
There have been rumours Juve might sell Vlahovic this summer so they can bring in a more reliable striker fitness-wise. And Jacobs has told TEAMtalk where Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd fit in.
Chelsea are the most likely English club to make an offer for the 23-year-old, while Arsenal are also interested. Man Utd, though, will not be pursuing Vlahovic later this year.
“Dusan Vlahovic will be available on the market from Juventus in the summer and Manchester United are not really the club on the radar for him at the moment,” Jacobs said. “But you definitely should keep an eye on Chelsea. They’ve got a few names in that position, but he’ll be one of them.
“Arsenal have had a long-standing interest in Vlahovic but at the moment, they’ve not made any contact. But watch, where the more Premier League clubs come in for Vlahovic, people start to realise that a very decent opportunity on the market could become available.
Dusan Vlahovic ‘could become valuable signing’ – Ben Jacobs
“And if he stays fit and these chronic growing problems don’t continue to hamper him, then he could be a very valuable signing.”
Despite Man Utd not going after Vlahovic, Jacobs does expect it to be ‘a very exciting summer’ at Old Trafford.
“Centre-forward for Manchester United is going to be one area to watch for sure. But I can see them definitely being ambitious in the market in a number of different positions. And of course they want to sort out the [Marcus] Rashford contract renewal situation as well, having extended his contract by a year. So it will be a very exciting summer for Manchester United.

“It will be a very busy summer for Manchester United because they’ll have incomings and outgoings. But before we can start pre-predicting levels of spend and types of players – even though the football department will be working towards the summer – they have to know first and foremost if they’ve got Champions League football, and who exactly the new owner is.”
This is not Jacobs’ only update on potential Man Utd transfers. On Saturday, he told TEAMtalk how four players could leave the club, with other English sides keen to capitalise.
