Fabrizio Romano reveals Everton talks to sign Man Utd man with exciting triple raid to hugely benefit Leeds

Man Utd winger Anthony Elanga is a target for Everton
Everton are in talks with Manchester United over a deal to sign winger Anthony Elanga – and Sean Dyche’s plans to make an exciting triple signing are likely to play nicely into Leeds United’s hands.
The Toffees were locked in another desperate battle to stay afloat in the Premier Legaue last season. And the board’s decision to roll the dice and replace Frank Lampard with Dyche in January proved a successful one with Everton ultimately finishing 17th.
After back-to-back seasons where they have been embroiled in a scrap for safety, Dyche will be desperate to ensure they can push towards the realms of mid-table safety.
But with funds tights at Goodison, Dyche will be have to spend his cash carefully.
And with a lack of goals Everton’s obvious Achilles heel – they only scored 34 times in 38 Premier League games last season – it is an area Dyche is keen to address.
To that end, Thursday’s Transfer Gossip has detailed that Everton are chasing not one, but two strikers this summer.
Top of their wanted is French striker Moussa Dembele, who is a free agent after leaving Lyon following the expiry of his contract.
The 26-year-old has 140 goals from 337 career games so certainly knows his way to goal. And with experience in the Premier League with Fulham, it is easy to see why Everton are desperate to get their hands on the free agent.
And he might not be the only striker Dyche lands on this summer either. Per Football Transfers, the Toffees are also looking into a possible raid for veteran Leicester striker Jamie Vardy.

Everton want Elanga as part of new attacking line-up
The 36-year-old has been cleared to leave the Foxes following relegation to the Championship.
To help finance deals for Vardy and Dembele, Everton are willing to let Neal Maupay leave Goodison. Indeed, they have already cashed in on young striker Ellis Simms, who has moved on to Coventry.
And to help supply the chances, Dyche is keen to add another wing option to his side.
To that end, Everton are being strongly linked with a move for Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto.
The Italy star was a rare bright spark for the Whites as their three-year Premier League spell ended with a whimper last season.
Now back in the Championship, it appears unlikely that Gnonto will hang around. However, Leeds’ new owners are reportedly keen to keep Gnonto at Elland Road. As such, it will take a pretty sizeable bid to convince them to sell.
To that end, the Whites reportedly have a £22m – £25m asking price on the star – a fee which appears to have scared off Everton.
As an alternative, Everton are now turning their attention towards Man Utd star Elanga.
Winger cleared to leave Man Utd
The Sweden winger has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and has been cleared to leave this summer.
To that end, United are reportedly seeking a relatively modest fee in the region of £10m. At less than half the price of Gnonto, that is a deal that holds much more appeal for Everton.
According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between the two clubs are now underway. And while he says there are several clubs keen on the 21-year-old, Everton appear to be in the driving seat.
