CHIRIVELLA SPRINGS LIVERPOOL SURPRISE

I think he will be sold but I have to say chiverrlla has really surprised me this season.

He’s improved bigtime since he first came on the scene. He’s still only 22. Maybe his chance has come and gone with us but FairPlay to the chap and he might get a few decent offers after his few displays this season

Sean the sailor

Chirivella defo looks like he’ll have a decent career as a professional footballer. These last few games he’s played for us has really put him in the shop window and there’s more to come.
His future however very probably isn’t with us.

gingerlfc

Still feel Chirivella would be a handy player to have around but if he wants to move on for more football, that’s his decision. He’s almost 23 and still playing in the reserve league for the most part. Elliot is a weird one IMO. He has the all round game but doesn’t have the end product to match it. Like Harvey Barnes at Leicester. Hoping to see Williams start against Norwich and either TAA or Robbo rested for the CL.

DE GEA NEEDS TO LEAVE MAN UTD

David De Gea TEAMtalk

Simple question for next season, keep DDG as No. 1, or sell and bring back Henderson?

killyboye

Henderson is already the best English goalkeeper and will only get better. Question is who would pay a big transfer fee and match de Gea’s wages? Only two possibilities I can see are PSG and Real Madrid
Personally if anything near 50 million came in for de Gea I’d take it. Otherwise hope Henderson is happy to spend another season in Sheffield

homerjay540

Agree, sell DDG and get Henderson in,with Romero an excellent deputy.DDGs form has been rubbish the last 18 months or so,and just like Martial, doesnt seem to care that much.Time for a rebuild of the entire club.

redblood

If we were a top team I’d probably say De Gea, despite his patchy form, but right now I’d focus on rebuilding so we can eventually become a top team again. DDG has done all he can for us and for most of his time at Old Trafford it’s been United weighing him down – not vice versa. He’s earned a shot at winning silverware and if we can cash in and rebuild, I think it might be in everyone’s best interest.

roygbiv

To be fair to DDG he owes us nothing, if a good offer came in and he asked for it to be accepted I’d let him go with all the best wishes in the world. I think Henderson might be the future though and he won’t come back to be a bench warmer. If we want to keep Henderson long term we may have to ship DDG out. English keepers always seem to struggle with the weight of expectation, Henderson seems to embrace it.

ADRIAN SHOULD TO STAY AT LIVERPOOL

Adrian is 33 and his boyhood club wants him apparently.
If he wants first team football, which is a distinct possibility st his age, then this move could make sense for him.
The only reason he got so many games this year is because Allison had that injury at the start of the season. Adrian isn’t stupid, he knows how rare it is for keepers to get injured. Chances of him getting that many league games again are very slim. He didn’t even get to play in all the domestic cup comps.

Not saying it’s defo gonna happen, but wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
He’ll walk away with a great experience and a pocket full of medals.
Personally I’d like him to stay. He’s the best no2 I ever remember us having and can play the style we want.

gingerlfc

He should stay for another year at least, he would play in all the FA and League cup games, and maybe even a few CL or PL games.

Anyway, only Adrian himself knows what matters most to him

Sean the sailor

I agree with ginger. He wants to be playing. He’s too good to be a number two and I’d love him to stay but will be suprised if he does

Sean the sailor

I do not want Adrian to leave but we can not keep him despite his will.
Henderson from blades is a very good and young GK but I do noy know if he wants to be No 2 in Liverpool.
Werner and Pellegrini are my favorites players.
Harvetz and Sancho cost a lot!!

THE LATEST CHELSEA RUMOURS

It’s refreshing that we are being linked to Onana of Ajax. Probably just rumours but if it’s true that he is interested in joining us, it’s good news for us. Only 24 years old this year, 190cm, Dutch champion, Champions League experience, what’s not to like. His pedigree is way better than Kepa. I really can’t see Kepa improving, he just does not have it.

Great GK like Cech or Courtois also experienced some bad moments or forms but Kepa hasn’t shown any greatness since he joined us 2 years ago. I am all for selling Kepa. A world class GK is necessary if we want to succeed, if we want to win trophies. A world class GK can win us points and a weak GK will cost us points.

If Juve want to buy Jorginho and the player is interested in joining Sarri, I think we should let him go as long as the price is right. He is good but again he is not irreplaceable. We will have RLC back and we will be able to play Kanté in his best spot too.

FRED’S MAN UTD COMMENTS DISCUSSED

Fred TEAMtalk

Interesting article about Fred that some of the players playing for themselves no unity. It just shows there still too many players there collecting pay cheques not playing for the shirt, still need to get rid of

Ackb050

Spot on mate,ASAP.

redblood

I imagine Pogba, Lingard and Martial top that list

homerjay540

Interview shows that there is a deeply-ingrained negative attitude in the club that will take years, maybe even decades to fix unless the club acts heavily in the immediate future.

Bringing in a DoF will be integral and, although I like him and would have liked him to get more time, Ole might need to leave if the squad only fancies him as a nice guy and not a manager to challenge for trophies.

Lingard will need to be shown the door immediately as he is definitely top of the list of people stealing a wage for a living and not doing enough for the team.

LIVERPOOL’S SUMMER PRIORITIES

Dejan Lovren TEAMtalk

Just bring in Mbappe and we’ll be happy.

Highly unlikely to happen though, so possibly Werner instead

Songman

If Mbappe moves. We could quite well be his destination. Nike would certainly pressure him in that direction given our new deal with them. It’s his wages that would be the true sticking point.
As said above, players that actually improve us are going to be either a rare gem, or have a huge fee. A back up fullback would be great, and a keeper and centre half. If we don’t lose anyone in the middle, I would say we are good there for another season. Keita still owes us a gear or two.

D1rtyH4rry

Keita’s problem is he can’t stay fit. I really like him. He gets a run of 5/6 games and looks really good then gets injured. It’s a huge pity as he gives us something different in midfield with regards goals and creativity

Winji needs a new contract.

Sean the sailor

1) Top quality forward who can put away the chances we don’t take and to cover what we already have.

2) LB cover. (RB looks like it will sort itself out with Williams)

3) CB to replace Lovren.
