Fernandes the most exciting Man Utd signing since Di Maria; Arteta lucky

Bruno Fernandes labelled the most exciting Man Utd signing since Angel Di Maria, while Mikel Arteta is proving to be a lucky manager as well as a good one – all in Your Says of the Day.

BRUNO FERNANDES SHOWS HIS CLASS

Bruno Fernandes is class, the team is unrecognizable with him in it.

Not a bad finish from Martial either – another flash of world class talent from him.

With McTominay, Bailly, and Pogba to come back I think we have the quality to finish this season very strong. Then we can hopefully get rid of Pogba, Lingard, and Pereira among others to properly rebuild a team around the quality young players we have led by Fernandes, Maguire, and De Gea (or Henderson) – Fred is another who seems to be a man on a mission.

Good three points. I have to say no player has excited me more than Fernandes since we signed Di Maria. I hope it turns out differently.

hatters

Bruno Fernandes has the same number of goal contributions in the league as Mata this season.

2 more than Lingard.

He’s played 3 games…

Fernandes is obviously being played further forward for when Pogba comes back in. Will be interesting to see how it works out when the two of them are in the team. I don’t know why but i have this fucking mad feeling Pogba will sign a new contract. I cant see anyone paying the money we are looking for him. We really need a top centre half in the summer. A talisman to lead the line. Werner would be great but think he’ll be off to Liverpool. Worst case scenario i’d take Jimenez from Wolves. Great work rate and seems a decent pro

MARTIAL BETTER THAN LUKAKU?

I don’t get why people have a bee in thier bonnet about martials attitude. What because he didn’t smile? So what i really don’t get it

We don’t hear anything about his attitude from ole who works with him day in day out so i really don’t understand why fans have this gripe with him. If he’s not appreciated here maybe it’s best we get rid of him and replace him with a striker who smiles

Ighalo seems to have improved Martial no end. 3 goals in three games since we signed Ighalo. Funny what a bit of competition for your place will do.

Great finish. I still dont think we should be playing him on the right. Not his fault I guess.
No doubting his finishing.

Yeah it’s a good patch for Martial isn’t it? Was reading today that he’s now equalled Lukaku’s goal scoring record from last season plus 5 assists.

Is he better than Lukaku?

A LUCKY ARSENAL WIN BUT ARTETA DOING THE BUSINESS

Obviously the goals were stupid errors but to keep our heads up after a long away trip and when the players were knackered still get the win is promising.

A way to go but 3 wins in 3 can’t complain! Let’s see us move up the table.

Evertons goals were perfectly fine faking injuries would have made no difference as VAR would never have overturned them anyway. As for the defending well there were none so i cant call it defending.

As for dominating Everton we dont have the squad for that and they are by no means easy to beat.

Now its about points and winning, the squad needs an overhaul so we will see these types of games during this season.

Happy with three points!

We are now at the point where we need 3 points every week and we need to learn to win when not at 100%. Everton are a form team in the league and beating them was a very good result. We were not outstanding but we did enough to win and because Everton are playing well I don’t think we are good enough at the moment to say we should dominate them. Arteta still not Great with subs but that aside he is doing a great job.

Entertaining game but extremely fortunate to win. Disastrous start where appalling defending from Luiz and Mustafi gifted Everton a goal although it was brilliantly taken. Fatmop may think we can defend but he’s never been right about anything, blinded by his obsession with the French Mr. Bean. Strange to think that had Kolasinac not been injured we would not have equalised. Best cross you will ever see and a terrific finish from Eddie who had a fine game. We improved after that with a fine goal from Abameyang following a great pass from Luiz, shame he can’t defend so well. Then more awful defending from our central defenders and poor keeping from Leno. Everytime the ball goes near Mustafi I fear the worst. So a game we should have been ahead in we are level due to rubbish defending, nothing will change until Wengers dross is booted out. Brilliant start to the second half with a well made and well taken goal, Pepe remains an enigma, wasteful but he does deliver 2 or 3 times a game with good effect. Everton then exposed Arsenal time and time again exploring the space behind Bellerin, you can’t leave Mustafi exposed, he can’t defend. Everton were unlucky not to equalise, we kept trying to make it easy for them but Leno saved us repeatedly. Once again our build up is too slow, too much backwards and sideways passing. We held out though which is good. Shout outs to Leno, Ceballos, Saka, Nketiah and Abameyang, they were our stand out players but we are still carrying the usual suspects. We must keep winning.

GIROUD OR NO GIROUD, THAT IS THE QUESTION

Brilliant performance and result today, unlucky not to have won that by more goals. All the lads that came into the team today played out of their skins, if we can keep performing like that we’ll finish top 4 no problem.

Cant believe we’ve been shafted by VAR on blatant red cards twice in a week, shambles of a process!

A great relief to win, Alonso is a good wing back and Giroud has always had qualities. Those two were instrumental in our win. I did not like the amount of passing back we did or the times we were caught dwelling on the ball, but I think that was partly explained by Spurs keeping five at the back which made it difficult to find our forwards.

I think this win will help our confidence. Do we keep Giroud in against Bayern???

Just what the doctor ordered after Monday night. Great result, great performance but I would not be getting carried away with the tactical bit.

Yet again I was impressed with Barkley …. and he gets two assists with two other out of favour players!!!

Do we keep Giroud in against Bayern??? Good question Alan personally I would be tempted to. Looks like Willy is in to stay possibly until the end of the season Willy’s extra height and physicality helps him imo.

Would def start with Giroud. Wont do Tammy a button of harm to have to fight for his place. I would keep Barkley in as well!!

I have just run a few stats on the Win/Draw/Lose ratio for games played with and without Barkley and Kante!!!

Let’s just say wow bit of a shock!!

NIBlue

Bayern are a whole different ball game and a much much more difficult game I suspect Frank will want to add a few fresh legs if he can. I would be tempted to start Giroud with Tammy on the bench to come on I think Willian will start ahead of Barkley but we’ll see. More big calls for Frank to make.

Hopefully we’ll keep it to below 7.😊
