Manchester United are among five clubs in contact with Ferran Torres’ representatives about signing the Valencia winger, according to a report.
The 20-year-old, who rose through the ranks at Valencia, has become one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers, chipping in with six goals and seven assists this season.
Torres’ contract runs out next summer and previous reports claimed he was not in talks about extending his stay.
However, CalcioNapoli24 now says the winger has rejected a five-year contract worth €3million per season and looks likely to leave this summer or at the end of next season.
Liverpool have been linked in recent months but United are now reportedly in talks to sign the forward.
As well as the Red Devils, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also keen.
Torres has a €120million release clause but Valencia are willing to accept at least €50million for his sale.
The Spanish club will hope that such a stance will prompt a bidding war between some of Europe’s top clubs.
However, no offers have reportedly arrived as yet, with talks at an early stage.
With Torres’ exit likely, he wants to sign for a top club fighting for league titles and regularly featuring in the Champions League.
The Spain Under-21 international has made nine appearances in the competition to date.
