Financial details of shock Everton bid for Zlatan Ibrahimovic emerge

Everton have apparently contacted Mino Raiola to determine whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be interested in a return to the Premier League.

Arena Napoli report that Everton officials, who are in the process of finding a new boss, are keen on the 38-year-old striker, who is a free agent.

The Swedish forward has left the LA Galaxy and has been heavily linked with a return to AC Milan, but the Italian source claims Everton have put together a proposal to Raiola.

Raiola brokered Moise Kean’s move to Goodison Park from Juventus in the summer and Everton want to make another of Raiola’s clients – Ibrahimovic an offer he cannot refuse.

Per the source, Everton are preparing an offer of €4million net, per season, which would make him the club’s highest earner, behind Bernard.

The Toffees are understood to be proposing an initial deal until the end of the season, with a €200,000 signing on bonus and the potential of a longer deal until 2021.

At the start of the month Ibrahimovic apparently has rejected a move to the Premier League and instead agreed a deal to join Milan.

He has been a free agent since the recent end of the MLS season, where he spent time with the Galaxy, scoring 53 goals in 58 appearances.

The former Sweden international had initially been linked with a move to Tottenham before boss Jose Mourinho ruled out a move and, according to The Telegraph, Ibrahimovic decided on a return to Milan.

However, that move has yet to be confirmed and speculation surrounding the forward’s future continues to rage on.
