Five clubs circle as Martial lays down demands for Man Utd stay

Anthony Martial’s Manchester United future is uncertain amid claims the winger is unhappy with his current situation at the club.

According to a report from The Independent, Martial wishes to stay at Old Trafford and the United hierarchy sees him as an important player moving forward.

However, Jose Mourinho is apparently expected to overhaul his attacking options this summer, and the report states that Martial may be surplus to requirements.

The Daily Mail claims that Mourinho has interest in both Gareth Bale and Willian, while Martial is seeking assurances over his playing time amid talks over a possible new deal.

Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are watching the situation closely and could offer the Frenchman a way out, The Independent states.

The Italian champions have been informed that a deal in the summer would cost them £60m, while Spurs have also registered interest, but United would not want to sell to a Premier League rivals.

Martial has started just two games in two months, his last appearance coming in last month’s FA Cup game against Brighton.
