A French football expert has claimed to lay out exactly what it would take for Liverpool to land Kylian Mbappe in a sensational swoop.
The Reds have been loosely linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar in recent weeks, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho going on the charm offensive for the Reds.
What’s more, Mbappe has openly spoken about his admiration for Jurgen Klopp’s team and said the work being done at the club is “amazing”.
ESPN journalist Julian Laurens has previously outlined the “big possibility” of the forward leaving PSG in the summer.
Speaking to ESPN FC, Laurens has this time spoken of the chances of Mbappe moving to Liverpool.
He said: “It’s pretty simple, if Liverpool can pay the €300m or maybe €350m with the bonuses, and put that on the table – which is what PSG will ask anyone to sign Mbappe.
“If Liverpool can afford that, plus give him the wages that he wants, he will consider that offer every single day of the week, because, yes Real Madrid is his dream and one day there is a certainty that he will play at the Bernabeu for Real Madrid.
“But he’s only 21 years of age so there is plenty time for him to go and play in Madrid one day.
“The fact is that he also would like to play in the Premier League one day, too – and Liverpool is a very attractive proposition for any top player in the world right now with what they are putting together and the project of Jurgen Klopp.
“But again, if they can’t put that money down on the table for an offer, there’s no way he could go there.”
In other Liverpool transfer news, the Reds are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid winger Isco.
Klopp has assembled a squad with seemingly no weaknesses, having dropped only two Premier League points all season heading into Thursday night’s clash with Wolves.
However, the Reds have been without a recognised playmaker since the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January 2018 and Spanish news outlet El Desmarque says that Klopp wants Isco to perform that role.
