Sergio Aguero: Paul Scholes is a big fan

Paul Scholes believes Manchester United need to sign a striker this summer and would love to see Manchester City hitman Sergio Aguero on board.

The Red Devils have largely played Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a sole striker this season and although the Swedish superstar has proved to be a big hit, Scholes thinks he could do with some help next season.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the United legend revealed his thoughts on his old team.

Scholes said: “They rely too heavily on Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“He’s been a great signing but there hasn’t been someone there to chip in with goals and take the pressure off him.”

And when asked what United chief Jose Mourinho needs to add to his squad this summer, Scholes offered up what could be a controversial solution.

He added: “A centre forward to help Ibrahimovic. [Antoine] Griezmann — or Aguero wouldn’t be bad!”
