Song, who attended Arsenal’s League Cup win over Chelsea last Wednesday, is currently training with the club to maintain his fitness but at this stage it is not being reported that he will actually re-sign.
However, the fact that he is a free agent means Song is not tied to finding a new club before the January window shuts at 11pm on Wednesday.
Song made 138 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring seven goals during his six years with the Gunners.
