Former team-mate tips Rooney to make Everton return

Wayne Rooney: Left Everton in 2004 to join Man United
Leon Osman thinks Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney could be tempted to return to his former club Everton if the opportunity arose.
Rooney has found himself on the bench or injured in recent weeks at United after taking a lot of criticism from pundits and fans over his performances this season.
And recent reports have suggested that Jose Mourinho has told Rooney that he can leave if he wants to find first-team football.
RK hints he could be interested in Wayne Rooney if he became available.

Osman, who played with Rooney at Goodison Park, reckons the England international could move back to Merseyside after repairing the damage left by his 2004 departure.
“It would not surprise me,” Osman told Sky Sports.
“I think he has been mending bridges for a couple of seasons now and you know he is an Evertonian at heart.
“I am pretty sure he would love to come back and I hope it happens.”
