Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City were the only team to win all four of their September matches and he is also nominated with his side on top of the table.
Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are joint top after three wins and a draw in the same period and he is also a contender.
And Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino completes the quartet having also collected three wins and a draw in September, leaving Spurs just behind the Manchester clubs.
Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner was named manager of the month for August.
The German beat Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Guardiola, Mourinho and West Brom’s Tony Pulis to win the gong.
