Fulham braced for £20m-plus bid from Newcastle for top star

Fulham are reportedly bracing themselves for another £20million-plus bid from Newcastle to sign skipper Tom Cairney.
However, The Sun claims that Leicester have now increased their interest in the Scotland international, who is on the shortlist to be crowned Championship Player of the Season.
The 27-year-old has had another outstanding campaign for the Cottagers, as they try to win promotion back to the Premier League, and Newcastle are known to have had an offer for the player turned down last summer.
The Magpies will be hoping that the London outfit miss out on a top flight return and will then be forced into selling some of their top stars, including Cairney and winger Ryan Sessegnon, who has been linked with Tottenham.
Toon boss Rafa Benitez is looking to bring in new midfield talent this summer but will have to wait until Premier League safety is secured before starting to plan his transfer strategy for 2018-19.
