Fulham close to Arsenal loan deal after Yerry Mina snub
Fulham are closing in on the signing of Arsenal defender Calum Chambers on a season-long loan deal.
A wide-range of sources claim an agreement has been reached between the clubs, and the central defender is set to undergo a medical, but personal terms still need to be finalised.
Fulham have already added centre-back Alfie Mawson from Swansea in a deal that could cost up to £20million and they look set to add 23-year-old Chambers who only signed a new four-year contract last month.
Mawson though is not expected to be fit until September and Slavisa Jokanovic was keen to add another defender ahead of Saturday’s kick-off.
The Daily Mail claim the Cottagers had made a move for Yerry Mina – the Barcelona defender who is interesting Everton and Man Utd – but were not given any encouragement have decided to go for Chambers, who can also play at right-back.
