Gareth Bale is reportedly not keen on being part of an exchange deal that could see Mohamed Salah move to Real Madrid.
The Wales star, according to Don Balon, is not open to the prospect of moving to Anfield as Real prepare to offer the forward to Liverpool in a bid to get 40-goal Salah to the Bernabeu this summer.
Reports from Spain have suggested that Real are looking offload Bale this summer, despite the player and his agent claiming he his happy in the Spanish capital.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane recently claimed Bale, who is under contract until 2022, is “important” to Real.
But with Real apparently desperate to get their hands on Salah, Bale, 28, remains an option for Liverpool, but the player is not open to a move to Liverpool.
Don Balon claim Bale is said to prefer the prospect of a move to Manchester United – or return to Tottenham.
United boss Jose Mourinho tried to sign Bale last summer, but after Bale remained in Spain, Mourinho reportedly struck a line through Bale as a target.
Tottenham sold Bale to Real in 2013 for a then world-record £86million, but he has made just 16 La Liga starts in an injury-hit season.
And the United boss, since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, said that United’s summer transfer priority will be to strengthen his defence and midfield and that another forward was not on the agenda.
That however may change if one or both of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford leave Old Trafford this summer.
Both players have seen their first-team chances limited this season and Martial is yet to commit to a new contract and Juventus are believed to be interested in the France forward.
