Giggs: Bale should snub Man United and stay at Real Madrid

Ryan Giggs thinks Gareth Bale should snub any potential move to Manchester United this summer and remain at Real Madrid.

Wales’ newly-crowned record goalscorer has been the subject of much speculation with reports claiming he will leave the Bernabeu for United in the summer if Zinedine Zidane stays on as Los Blancos boss.

A mixture of injury problems and poor form has meant that Bale has failed to earn a regular place under the Frenchman this term.

Giggs was asked whether Bale should stay at Real Madrid, he responded: “Yes. I went to see him against PSG [in the Champions League last-16].

“When you go there the aura around the club, there are only a handful of clubs who have got that.

“So, of course, you want to stay there. He’s won three Champions League titles, the proof is in that.

“When you are at clubs like that you are always going to win things.”
