Ryan Giggs says Manchester United will need more – especially a centre-forward – if they complete the signing of Jack Grealish.

Reports claim Aston Villa captain Grealish is among Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top targets for the upcoming transfer window.

The 24-year-old has an uncertain future given Villa are battling relegation back to the Championship, although the club’s owners are reportedly unwilling to budge on their steep price tag.

Other reports say Wolves striker Raul Jimenez is a target for United and Giggs thinks a player like the Mexican should be a greater priority for United this summer.

“If a quality player like [Grealish] comes available, United are going to be [interested],” the former midfielder told Premier League Productions.

“He looks like a United player, he takes the ball, he attracts loads of fouls.

“I would say that we definitely need a centre-forward. Someone who, if a team is deep, is going to play deep and be on the end of those passes, crosses and score 25 goals.

“I still think if we’re going to catch [Manchester] City, we’re three or four players short.

“But [it’s] definitely exciting and promising with Bruno [Fernandes] and [Paul] Pogba coming into the team.”

Solskjaer got an exciting first look at the potential midfield partnership between Fernandes and Pogba against Tottenham on Friday.

The Frenchman won a penalty after beating Eric Dier in the box, with Fernandes converting the equaliser.

Speaking after the game, Solskjaer said he was delighted to have Pogba back to full fitness.
