Gillingham v Brentford preview

Gills boss Martin Allen is set to make changes in response to last weekend’s 4-0 defeat at Wolves.

Gillingham continued their losing start to the new season at Molineux and Allen is poised to freshen up his XI against a Bees side who have enjoyed an unbeaten 2013/14 to date.

That means the likes of Bradley Dack, Chris Whelpdale, Antonio German, Charlie Allen and Adebayo Akinfenwa come into contention.

Right-back Matt Fish (knee) is a long-term absentee while the Gills will also assess one unnamed player as late as possible, with Allen keeping his cards close to his chest regarding his identity.

The Bees could be unchanged this weekend after securing their first league win of the season against Sheffield United last week.

Midfielder Jonathan Douglas is still recovering from knee surgery and goalkeeper Richard Lee remains sidelined after a shoulder operation, but manager Uwe Rosler has no new injury concerns.

Defender Tony Craig came through his first 90 minutes of the season unscathed against the Blades following an ankle knock and continues at centre-half.

Striker Will Grigg is available after international duty with Northern Ireland and midfielder Toumani Diagouraga could be added to the bench.
