Leroy Sane snapped at questions about his Manchester City future after Tuesday’s 8-0 win over Estonia.
Sane started the Euro 2020 qualifier in Mainz and wrapped up the scoring late on, but it was his future at The Etihad that was the subject after the game.
And Sane, 23, who has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich, certainly did not ruled out the possibility of leaving the Premier League champions
“I’m going on holiday now,” said Sane. “Everything else will be seen.”
Asked about a move to Bayern Munich Sane replied: “That’s it with the questions about Bayern Munich.”
Man City have held talks with Sane over extended his deal, which expires in two years, but the negotiations hit an impasse and Bayern have since been sniffing around the Germany international.
It’s understood the player has been the subject of an €80m approach from Bayern, who are looking to fill the sizeable shoes of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery
However, the Bundesliga champions’ CEO Rummenigge insists their efforts to sign Sane are not over and wants the player to demand a transfer out of The Etihad.
“We have not made an offer for Leroy Sane. It is far from that,” he told Sport Bild.
“First, the player has to decide if he can imagine coming to Bayern. If that’s the case, then we’ll go into concrete negotiations with Manchester City.
“The player is the most important factor. Apparently, Leroy has not yet decided. Hasan Salihamidzic [Bayern’s sporting director] is leading the talks there.”
Meanwhile, his Germany team-mate and new Bayern player Leon Goretzka was also asked about Sane’s situation, saying: “No, I didn’t bug him. I already had a situation in which I had to make a similar decision.
“I also made the experience for myself that you should meet in peace for yourself.
“Of course I talked to him about it and showed him that it wouldn’t be a bad step. But I think he has to decide that for himself.”
