Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has dropped his strongest hint yet that he will be in charge at The Etihad next season.
The former Barcelona boss and has tipped to make a surprise move to Juventus, having recently guided City to back-to-back Premier League titles.
However, the 48-year-old Spaniard has said that he is looking forward to once again competing with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and other top teams in England next season.
He told Catalan newspaper Sport: “Klopp? We have a nice rivalry, but not only with Liverpool. There are five very strong teams and that’s why the Premier League is such a tough competition.
“Next season we [Manchester City] will start from scratch and we’ll see what happens.”
Guardiola also commented on the future of under pressure Barca boss Ernesto Valverde, whose future is in doubt despite lifting the LaLiga crown this season.
He added: “Valverde at risk? But my experience as a coach is now part of the past, now it’s up to the new generations.”
