Harris next for Tranmere
Tranmere have agreed a deal to sign former Wrexham midfielder Jay Harris.
The 28-year-old is a player who Tranmere boss Gary Brabin has courted for some time.
“He is a local lad who has arguably been one of the best midfielders in the Conference in recent years,” Brabin told the club’s official website.
“He has shown great hunger and desire to come to Tranmere, kick on in his career and be a part of what we’re doing at the club so I’m delighted he’s decided to join us.”
Harris made 197 appearances for Wrexham, scoring 18 goals. He also helped the Welsh side to FA Trophy success against Grimsby at Wembley in 2013.
He began his career with Everton, although failed to make a senior appearance for the Blues, before moving on play in the Football League with both Accrington and Chester.
