Harry Kane: Man Utd told move has zero chances with Man City star cited as reason behind Levy refusal to sell Tottenham talisman

Manchester United face a near-impossible task convincing Daniel Levy to sell Harry Kane this summer with a new report revealing why he will simply refuse to do any business at all with the Red Devils.
United manager Erik ten Hag is chasing a new No 9 this summer as he plots the next phase of his rebuilding programme. Having spent just over £200m last summer on six new players, the Red Devils have enjoyed a major upturn in their fortunes.
Indeed, having laboured home in sixth place last season, they already have one cup in the bag and the chance to win two more. And with a top-four finish in the Premier League also on the cards, club chiefs could not be happier with the Dutchman.
As such, the club are now preparing for another hefty summer of spending to propel the club into title contention.
To that end, Ten Hag wants three new signings of genuine quality – with the bulk of the cash to be spent on a centre forward.
A report this week detailed the five-man pecking order United have with striker targets in mind. And England captain Kane heads that list, coming up at number one, with two new name making the five-strong list.
However, prising Kane away from north London will be far from easy.
Trusted journalist Ben Jacobs has already given us the lowdown on why Levy just will not want to sell.
And while Kane could try and force the issue by refusing to sign an extension on his deal that is due to expire in 2024, it seems Levy is unwilling to sanction the sale.

Levy will simply refuse to sell Kane to Man Utd
And according to a report, the Tottenham chairman has solid reasons behind his refusal to ever sell Kane to Man Utd.
Indeed, the Daily Express claims that Levy still is angry with himself for allowing Kyle Walker to leave Spurs to join Man City back in 2017.
The fans’ favourite was allowed to quit Tottenham to join City in a deal worth around £50m. He has since gone on to win four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups while at the Etihad.
But Levy feels the transfer only served to make City stronger and Tottenham much weaker in the resulting years.
And according to the Express, the Tottenham supremo vowed at the time to never sell a player to either Manchester club again.
Tottenham have also gotten through a fair share of costly right-backs since in a bid to find a player as good as Walker. Indeed, Pedro Porro – who has signed on loan with a view to a permanent £39m move – is the latest costly acquisition to arrive.
Indeed, having already been stung with Dimitar Berbatov’s sale to United back in summer 2008 under his watch, it is very much a case of twice bitten, forever shy for Levy.
Now it seems the sale of Walker six years on is impacting Manchester United chances of signing Kane.
Man Utd forced to look at other options after Kane
And even if Kane refuses to sign a new deal, it seems the pig-headed nature of Levy would rather see him risk losing his star man on a free.
To avoid that scenario though, a sale to an overseas suitor – possibly Bayern Munich or Real Madrid – would be seen as the lesser of two evils.
As a result, it seems Ten Hag will be forced to look elsewhere in his efforts to land a new striker.
Victor Osimhen and Goncalo Ramos are two other names United are understood to be seriously considering. However, Randal Kolo Muani and Rasmus Hojlund are also now reportedly under consideration for United.
However, Kane is the only man on the list tried and trusted in the Premier League.
As Tottenham’s all-time record goalscorer, Levy is doing all in his power to ensure he stays at the club beyond 2024. And if he is forced to sell, it seems Manchester United’s chances are dead in the water regardless.
