Hart: Awful display against Swansea shows we must improve
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart says that every one of the squad can still improve following what he described as an “awful” display against Swansea.
Hart was speaking after City beat Swansea 2-1, responding immediately after a late equaliser.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were far from convincing against Swansea, but Hart insists that winning when playing badly bodes well for the rest of the season.
“It was a big win considering we were awful,” Hart told BBC Sport.
“I thought Swansea played really well considering the difficult circumstances. When we play well, I am a bit of a bystander so it was good for me to be involved.
“It’s a good sign to not always play particularly well and be top of the league, qualify as group winners in the Champions League and to be in the semi-finals of the League Cup. To a man, we can all improve.”
