Henderson predicting big things from ‘hungry’ Liverpool

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has insisted that the club has to be aiming to win things next season.

Liverpool qualified for the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Premier League last season but have not won a trophy since the League Cup in 2012.

With Jurgen Klopp looking to improve the squad and preparing for his second full campaign in charge, Henderson believes that it is now time for that trophy drought to end.

“We have to set it very high with the squad, the players we have got and the manager we have got,” Henderson told the Guardian

“We want to be winning things. That is the aim.”

“We will go into every game and every tournament we are in wanting to win. We have to set the bar very high.

“There is plenty of competition for places. We have a fantastic group of players who want a better season this year and we will be working as hard as we can to impress the manager to get into the team.”
