Jadon Sancho is considering handing in a transfer request to force through a big-money move to Manchester United, according to reports.
United are locked in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the winger, but negotiations have slowed up in the past week.
Last week, the Red Devils and Sancho agreed on personal terms on a five-year contract but fast forward and United have now become angered at the intermediary working on the deal.
What’s more, United feel Dortmund’s £108million asking price is too much in the coronavirus-impacted market.
Indeed, these issues come amid the stoic announcement from Dortmund’s sporting director on Monday. Michael Zorc said he was confident Sancho would be at the club next season.
Since, then, though, those aspirations have faded and he is now considering action from his end to force a move.
As such, the newspaper claims Sancho could submit a transfer request or demand to leave Dortmund. Both options would likely cause tension with his superiors, given Zorc’s recent announcement.
Indeed, should that tension arise, it would not be the first time he has faced disciplinary action from his club.
Dortmund dropped Sancho in November after he arrived back late from England duty. The same happened in June when he flew to England without his club’s permission.
In any case, Dortmund and United are reportedly still negotiating over a big-money deal despite the complications.
BARCA STAR ON MAN UTD SHORTLIST?
Meanwhile, another report claims that Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is an alternative for United.
The Frenchman has struggled to find consistency at Camp Nou since his move in 2017 due to injury.
Now, reports claim Dembele features alongside Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman as alternative targets.
