Huddersfield set for impressive signing of World Cup winner
Huddersfield Town have been linked with an impressive move for Borussia Dortmund’s Erik Durm.
Durm was part of the Germany squad that won the 2014 World Cup, but missed the whole of last season with a series of injuries.
Now, as he enters the final year of his contract at Dortmund, the Bundesliga giants are prepared to let him go, and West Yorkshire is a possible destination, according to Bild.
Durm played under Huddersfield head coach David Wagner when he was in charge of Dortmund’s second team, and the pair could be set for a reunion.
The 26-year-old full-back is reportedly willing to sign for Huddersfield, but the two clubs have not agreed a fee for the versatile German.
Despite his injury setbacks last season, Durm is now fit for pre-season training, and could end up completing it with the Premier League side.
Huddersfield finished 16th in their debut season in the Premier League.
