Chris Hughton was pleased to see his Brighton side finally show their talent in front of goal – but was frustrated it did not lead to all three points.
The Seagulls had only scored once in their last six Premier League games, but found the net twice in a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at the Amex Stadium.
Hughton revealed his side had worked hard on addressing their lack of goals, but would not be drawn on whether Celtic’s Moussa Dembele is a target in the transfer window.
He told Sky Sports Premier League: “I thought we were good today. Some of the areas that we needed to address and needed to be better, which was giving us ourselves the opportunity to score goals, I thought we were very good in that department today, in regards to our intensity and our work in the final third.
“Just hugely disappointed, having gone in front on a couple of occasions in a game that certainly on chances we deserved and should have won, that we didn’t.”
When asked about a potential move for Dembele, Hughton added: “No, I’m very aware of the speculation. Certainly at this moment that’s all that it is.”
