‘Humiliated’ Spain star with Everton links demands immediate Real exit

Real Madrid’s Isco is said to be fuming at another game on the Real Madrid bench and is demanding a move away from the Bernabeu.

The 28-year-old has reportedly asked for a transfer but left it late, with the transfer window closing on Monday. Isco, 28, joined Real from Malaga in June 2013.

The midfielder has made 321 appearances in all competitions, scoring 51 goals. But the Benalmadena-born ace has been pushed aside this term, with just three starts from 12 appearances.

He has won two La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues. But his game time has steadily diminished in recent seasons.

He was said to have been left ‘humiliated’ when manager Zinedine Zidane did not use him on Saturday. Real lost 2-1 to Levante and the French tactician chose youngster Sergio Arribas over him.

He remained on the bench and, according to Spanish outlet Cuatro, is now determined to move on. Isco wants to be part of the Spain squad for this summer’s delayed Euroepan Championship.

He needs to be playing and Everton have been linked in the past. Clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have also been mentioned as possible suitors.

But the fact Carlo Ancelotti is in charge at Goodison Park means the Toffees could be in the running. Isco is also thought to be keen to play with his former Real team-mate James Rodriguez once again.

Carlo Ancelotti slams lazy and slow Everton

Carlo Ancelotti has criticised his Everton side's performance in their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle.

His relationship with Zidane has deteriorated since he was no longer considered first choice. A move seems likely but he may have to wait until the summer to finally depart the Spanish capital.

Ancelotti coy on new additions

Everton suffered a setback on Saturday, with a 2-0 home loss to struggling Newcastle United. After the defeat, the Italian tactician admitted the Merseysiders are open to adding to their squad, but are “not desperate”.

One player they have been linked with is Croatia international Ivan Perisic. He is back at Inter after spending last season on loan with Bayern Munich.

Perisic was part of a side that won the Champions League, DFB-Pokal and Bundesliga but was not offered a permanent deal. It was not known if he would be given many opportunities back in Serie A.

But he has started 10 of their 20 Serie A matches this season and made 26 appearances in all competitions. If Everton are to land him they will need to move fast, with the transfer window closing on Monday night.
