Kevin Dillon’s men took the lead in the 20th minute when Marvin Morgan wriggled free inside the area to thump a shot past Mark Cousins.

But Colchester levelled eight minutes later when Morgan inadvertently flicked on a corner and Ashley Vincent was unmarked to convert at the far post.

Substitute Danny Hylton hit the winner for the Shots late on when he ran clear to bury from the edge of the area.
