Ibrahimovic knows who is to blame for current Man Utd struggles

Former Manchester United man Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that the current squad are to blame for their current struggles, not Jose Mourinho.

Reports on Friday suggested that Mourinho was under pressure if he didn’t achieve a positive result against Newcastle, however his side came from 2-0 down to secure a dramatic 3-2 win.

The Portuguese finds his side seven points off the summit of the Premier League table after just eight games, but Ibrahimovic doesn’t think he is to blame.

“I think he has the ability to win [the Premier League]” Ibrahimovic told the Mirror.

“I think he is the right coach for that club, for that team.

“But a coach is only as good as his team, so it’s not like he can do miracles if the team is not good enough.

“And I feel the team is good – it’s progressing, becoming better.

“This is his third year, the players know more and more the way he wants to play and how he wants it – so I believe, yes.”
