Odion Ighalo: Moves to China

Watford boss Quique Flores has revealed his admiration for striker Isaac Success amid talk that Idion Ighalo could move on in the summer.

Ighalo has been one of the Premier League’s most impressive strikers so far this season with 15 goals and Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all believed to be tracking the Nigeria international.

The 26-year-old is a Manchester United fan and last month the striker admitted it would be hard to say no if United came calling for his services.

Atletico Madrid and Roma are also understood to be keen on the Ighalo, who signed initially on loan in the summer of 2014 before making the move to Vicarage Road a permanent transfer.

Flores in December conceded that it will be difficult to keep Ighalo in the summer, especially if he maintains the form he has showed to date and the Hornets boss has apparently lined up a replacement in 20-year-old Granada striker Success.

“Sometimes players need to go to other places,” Flores said.

“I don’t want to think like this, I am a really positive person.

“Success is a very good player, he has power, he has the physical characteristics to play in England, but he’s younger and we need to think about the future of this player, or if we have the possibility of this player in the future,” Flores added, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Nigerian striker Success has scored four goals in 25 appearances for Granada this term.
